Research On Software Outsourcing Development Cost Management: Case Study On NCS Company

Along with the rapid development of information technology,the software industry is playing a more and more important role in the national economy.The development of China's software outsourcing enterprises is very rapid,the scales of enterprises expand gradually.Faced with increasingly fierce market competition,software outsourcing enterprises must improve the level of project management for better survival and development.And the cost management is relatively weak and important core of the software outsourcing project management.Effective software project management and cost control can be better for finance savings of software outsourcing enterprise,improve economic efficiency,and enhance the core competence of the software outsourcing enterprises.At present,China's software outsourcing enterprise project management especially the cost management aspect,are still lack of normative and binding,software outsourcing enterprise consciousness still needs to strengthen,how to improve cost management to make it more suitable for software outsourcing project management enterprise is a very urgent task.Taking software outsource company NCS as a case in it,it analyses the current status of the project cost structure and finds the below cost problem,the relationship between project management and development is not close enough,the project effort estimation bias is very large,and the project cost control is not effective.In order to resolve the above major problems,it designs a cost management scheme for the software outsources company.Based on cost estimation,cost plan and cost control management,combining with the analysis of the development of software outsourcing process including requirement analysis,software design,coding&testing,it provides a cost management improvement scheme,and taking FSI project in NCS company as a case to implement it.In the requirement analysis phase,taking function point analysis instead of experience analysis to do cost estimation,which makes sure the key factors are quantization;In the software design phase,detailed resource plan and schedule plan is made for the cost plan;In the coding&testing phase,continued implementation of cost control,timely correction of deviation to improve work efficiency.The improved schema can ensure the project quality,reduce the human resource,control the project cost,meanwhile,the practicality of the cost management of the improved schema has been provided he key points and relevant suggestions of the enterprise application in software outsourcing enterprise,the entire system make effective improvement rationally for the project cost management from the viewpoint of software outsourcing.
