With the development of modern communication technology,the research of reconfigurable antennas has gradually become a hot topic.However,the range of frequency switching of a single frequency reconfigurable antenna is not large and the gain is not high enough to meet the requirements of practical applications.Therefore,it is of great practical significance to study frequency reconfigurable array antennas with a large switching frequency range.In this thesis,a series of theoretical studies on a Ku/Ka band frequency reconfigurable microstrip array antenna are carried out in combination with the needs of the subject.The main contents are as follows:(1)A Ku/Ka band frequency reconfigurable microstrip antenna unit is designed.Firstly,the feeding mode of the antenna is determined,and the specific position of the feeding point is determined by parameter optimization;then the structure of the antenna is determined by comparing the size of the circular and square patches and the size before and after the slotting of the patch;The surface of the chip is loaded with 8 PIN diodes,and a DC bias circuit for controlling the working state of the PIN diode is designed.(2)Based on the design of frequency reconfigurable microstrip antenna,a 2×2 element Ku/Ka band frequency reconfigurable microstrip array antenna is proposed.Firstly,the influence of the array element spacing on the radiation characteristics of the antenna is studied,and the array element spacing of the frequency reconfigurable array antenna is determined.Secondly,an impedance-adjustable feed network is proposed and the structure of the frequency reconfigurable array antenna is determined;then the DC bias lead is integrated on the back of the new dielectric substrate,and a new type of DC bias circuit is designed.Finally,the 2×2 element array antenna is extended to a 4×4 element array antenna to further verify the feasibility of the design method of the frequency reconfigurable array antenna.The array antenna achieves reconfigurable frequency and the radiation gain is significantly improved.(3)Complete antenna layout drawing,physical processing and structural assembling,The relevant parameters of the antenna were tested and the results basically reached the expected indicators.
