With the rapid development of modern wireless communication technology,miniaturization,high-integration,multi-function and low cost are the key factors to consider when designing microwave circuits.And passive components,such as filters,power dividers,antennas,etc.,play a very important role in the RF front-end circuit,which are also a hot research direction.Under this background,a square patch resonator loaded with SIW is proposed in this paper.After a detailed theoretical analysis and research of the square patch resonator,a miniaturized wideband low-profile monopole patch antenna and an integrated,multi-function wideband four-way filtering power divider are proposed.After a brief overview of the research content and background,several methods for expanding the bandwidth of patch antenna and realization of the filtering power divider are summarized based on a few of design cases.Then,based on the analysis of the field distribution of the square patch and the SIW resonator,a SIW cavity is built in the square patch resonator according to the electric field distribution characteristics of TM200 mode of the square patch.Finally,by utilizing the coupling between the TE10101 mode of the SIW cavity and the TM200 mode of the square patch,the square patch resonator loaded with SIW proposed in this paper is constructed.In addition,two design schemes are proposed based on this resonator,namely a wideband low-profile monopole patch antenna loaded with SIW and a wideband four-way filtering power divider based on SIW loaded square patch resonator.The first design is a square patch antenna with a monopole like radiation pattern by utilizing the radiation characteristics of the resonant modes of this resonator mentioned above,and the wideband operation is obtained due to the dual-mode resonance characteristics of this SIW loaded square patch resonator.Finally,a wideband low-profile monopole patch antenna loaded with SIW is put forward.Another scheme is designed on the basis of the SIW loaded square patch resonator.Four open-ended coupling lines are located along the four sides of the square patch so as to divide the energy into four and achieve a better frequency selectivity.In addition,in order to enhance the isolation between the four output ports,an isolation network is added between the output ports.Besides,the out-of-band rejection is further enhanced.Finally,a wideband four-way filtering power divider based on SIW loaded square patch resonator is designed.The two design schemes proposed in this paper are simulated and fabricated,and the final measured results are basically reasonable and consistent with the simulated results,which further proves that the square patch resonator loaded with SIW has great application value.
