The photoelectric pod is a photoelectric detection system which is capable of performing detection tasks,and its infrared target tracking performance determines its all-weather working ability.Due to the lack of color and relatively low signal-to-noise ratio and contrast of infrared images,traditional control methods and infrared tracking algorithms are difficult to meet the requirements of high-performance infrared tracking.In this paper,the infrared tracking and control technology of photoelectric pod is taken as the research object,and the control strategy is designed which is adaptive for nonlinear complex interference.The infrared tracking algorithm which is suitable for variable scale target in complex scene is also studied,improving the infrared tracking performance of photoelectric pod.Aiming at the problem of infrared visual stabilization and tracking of photoelectric pod,the basic working principle is discoursed,the influencing factors of system accuracy are generalized,and the technical difficulties of stabilization control of photoelectric pod under complex interference are summarized,as well as the technical difficulties of infrared tracking under the conditions of weak and small targets,background interference,variable scale and target occlusion.Aiming at the difficulty of its stability control,the mathematical model of the control system is established,the dynamic characteristics of the original system and the shortcomings of the PID control algorithm are analyzed.The fuzzy adaptive PID control strategy is studied and the fuzzy adaptive PID controller is designed to observe the improvement effect on the stability of the system.Aiming at the difficulty of infrared tracking,focusing on the variable-scale target tracking in complex background,the dynamic and static characteristics of targets in infrared video are analysed,the decision criteria of infrared target tracking is determined.Based on the fast detection method of the target in the initial frame image and the optimal segmentation method,an infrared target detection and tracking algorithm based on multi-feature fusion and ROI prediction is proposed.Simulation experiments and field experiments were carried out to verify the control effect of the control strategy and the performance of the infrared target tracking algorithm.The results show that the control strategy can improve the stability and tracking accuracy of the system,which has a good ability to suppress the complex non-linear interference.The infrared tracking algorithm has high robustness,which performs stable tracking of variable scale targets in complex scenes.Relevant research results can be applied to infrared target tracking of photoelectric pod,especially in the face of complex background interference,target scale's change and other issues,which can effectively improve the infrared tracking performance of photoelectric pod and enhance its all-weather working ability.
