The multisensor target tracking technology is concerned with the realization of both multisensor information fusion and target tracking. Multisensor target tracking is a paradigm of information fusion technique dealing with target tracking problem, it estimates target state, enhances target feature through intelligent integration of multisensor data to gain better tracking performance than a single sensor does. Finally, the target trajectory was given and analyzed of the accuracy and reliability.Airborne dual-mode photoelectric sensor fusion tracking system is mainly consist of the radar, infrared and visible light sensors, which have advantages and disadvantages. The radar sensor can measure target angle and range at all time, however with lower precision and be susceptible to interference. The infrared sensor can measure continuously with high precision angle but not distance, and be affected great by the weather condition. The visible sensor can provide more image details and enrich the description of the target feature, but the tracking result is vulnerable to the background and weather condition. This paper aims to study on airborne Dual-mode Photoelectric Sensor fusion tracking algorithm. Radar/IR and IR/Visible fusion tracking were introduced. The method of pixel-level dynamic image fusion of video from visible and infrared cameras on moving object tracking was proposed. The fusion methods used weighted average fusion and fusion scheme based on region target detection, while the tracking method used Mean Shift algorithm. The fusion experiments indicated that aiming at the target moving from one area to a different area, the proposed method was effective and efficient, meeting the robustness and real-time requirements. At last, the fusion tracking algorithms are applied to the airborne fusion tracking system for ground target, and the simulation results are according with the system requirements.
