With the development of virtual reality technology,the digital interface has replaced the traditional hardware interface as an important part of virtual reality human-computer interaction information exchange,and has become the important characteristics of virtual reality interaction technology.The usability of the digital interface greatly affects the user's interactive experience in virtual reality,the proposed method of usability evaluation is more suitable for desktop interaction.However,its compatibility with the virtual reality usability evaluation method needs further study.In addition,most of the existed usability evaluation methods are cumbersome and time-consuming.This article takes the virtual reality digital interface as the research object,combined with the improved Fitts formula and relevant eye movement indicators to build a virtual reality digital interface usable model.The main research work includes:(1)Theoretical background of digital interface in virtual reality.We extended prior research of current virtual reality,digital interface and usability.Then we summarized the advantages and disadvantages of the current desktop interactive digital interface usability evaluation method,combined with the relevant characteristics of virtual reality human-computer interaction,to provide an experimental paradigm for building a virtual reality digital interface usability model.(2)The effectiveness model of digital interface for virtual reality human-computer interaction.In order to solve the problem of poor accuracy of small target selection in humancomputer interaction of virtual reality.We improved the original Fitts' formula,and a model based on Fitts' law for effective measurement and capture of small target interaction time and error rate is proposed,the model shows that the angular width of the smaller target width has a greater impact on the interaction time and error rate.We believed that the design of the human-computer interaction interface in virtual reality should put more focus on the target width,which provides reference s for target size design.(3)The efficiency model of human-computer interactive digital interface in virtual reality.We analyze the pointing model based on Fitts' law at home and abroad,apply the improved Fitts formula to the human-computer interaction process of virtual reality,and construct the virtual reality efficiency model by expanding the dimensions of the capture target(target size,target aspect ratio,target motion angle).The model explains the independent influence of small target,two-dimensional target and motion angle on the interaction time,which can accurately predict the human-computer interaction time of the virtual reality digital interface,and provides relevant designers with effective design aids when evaluating the efficiency of interface interaction.(4)The satisfaction model of virtual reality human-computer interaction digital interface.We analyze the mapping relationship between cognitive load and eye movement indicators in China and abroad,select the fixation time,look-back time ratio,re-fixation ratio,saccade ratio,fixation path,pupil diameter,and all the indicators to assess the size of cognitive load.The NASA-TLX scale analyzes the correlation between cognitive load size and eye movement indicators,determines the fixation time,re-fixation ratio,saccade ratio and pupil diameter as the best measures of virtual reality cognitive load,and combines the entropy weight method to construct virtual Realistic satisfaction model.The model determines the mapping relationship between virtual reality cognitive load and eye movement index,and provides a reference for the virtual reality human-computer interaction cognitive load evaluation.(5)Research and application of usability model of virtual reality human-computer interaction digital interfaceCombined with the digital interface effectiveness model,efficiency model and satisfaction model,the analytic hierarchy process and the entropy weight method are used to construct the virtual reality digital interface usability model,and the related application research on the digital interface with different functions in the VR tunnel rescue simulation system is conducted.The usability model and the system usability scale evaluation method are compared and analyzed,thus verifying the feasibility and effectiveness of the usability model of the virtual reality digital interface.The usability model proposed in this paper provides a new method for usability evaluation of virtual reality digital interfaces.Participate in the entire virtual interaction process to obtain the optimal interface is not necessary for users,providing virtual reality-related designers with fast and effective design assistance tools,thereby reducing design costs,and optimize the user's human-computer interaction experience to a certain extent.
