Fandom,as the name implies,refers to the fan group and fan group gathering place.Since 2005,fandom has begun to cultivate and develop in China.Under the influence of social,economic,cultural and technological factors,China's fandom has generated its own unique fandom culture.This study uses Bourdieu's field theory,network ethnography and in-depth interviews to study China's fandom culture and its fans.Since the 1980s,the research on fan culture began to flourish in foreign countries.Since then,the research on fan culture at home and abroad has developed rapidly and achieved fruitful results.However,there are relatively few researches focusing on fandom culture.In fact,fandom culture is contained in fan culture.Compared with fandom culture,the connotation of fan culture is broader.In a more comprehensive dimension,it includes all aspects of fan related comprehensive practice including fan phenomenon,fan psychology,fan economy,and so on.By contrary,the main body of fandom culture is more focused on fandom and fans group in fandom.Based on Bourdieu's field theory and the core concepts of field,habitus,location relationship,capital,power,illusion and so on cited in field theory,with the help of network ethnography and in-depth interview,a comprehensive and in-depth study on China's fandom culture and fans group is carried out.The first chapter is the introduction of the background,significance,definition and literature review of this research.The second chapter is to explain Bourdieu's field theory and related core concepts.The contents of Chapter three and chapter four are about two aspects:the relationship and interaction in the inner part of fandom,and between fandom and the outer part.It is found that no matter in the inner part of fandom or between fandom and the outside,there is a relationship and interaction of containing and influencing each other between them.In its interior,it has the characteristics of all other fields:objective existence,universality,hierarchy,relative independence,domination and eternal changes,and based on these characteristics,it has its own unique presentation form.In addition,fandom has its own field habits,field illusion,and each actor subjects that each action with mutually related position relationship.These actor subjects constantly uses the operation of economic capital,cultural capital,social capital and other capital to fight for power,so as to maintain or change its position in the field.At the same time,fandom and the external field all the time produce the mutual relations of mutual influence and check and balance.Among these mutual relations,the relationship between fans and idols is the most basic,and all other mutual relations are based on this.The relationship between fans and idols is mutual achievement and mutual restriction,and the relationship between fans and the idols' relevant stakeholders is mutual satisfaction and mutual utilization.The relationship between fans and the official public opinion field is resistance and guidance,influence and catering.The relationship between fans and the public is arrogance and prejudice,misreading and proper name.Finally,after the observation and research on fandom culture and fans group,chapter five is the reflection on the current fandom culture and fan phenomenon based on this research:fandom culture,as a culture developed in fandom,has its own causes and characteristics.The essence and dross in fandom culture should be dialectically and objectively treated so that the cultural factors containing positive characteristics in fandom culture can produce enormous positive vitality,productive force and huge positive social effects.
