The emergence of social media has given users more initiative,any group can create their own unique culture,and more users have changed from consumers to content producers.Driven by the advancement of network technology and industry capital,Vlog(video blog),a video form that emphasizes the integration of art,entertainment,and daily life,gradually moves from the niche to the mainstream.In 2019,the mainstream official media joined,and Vlog began to move at a high speed.Vlog was once hailed as a vent,and was called the antidote for the second half of the short video,but it has been tepid.However,there is demand for supply,as Levinson's media compensation theory states: New comes from the old,not dying out is transformation.Vlog is very popular among young users,indicating that it still has great development potential in the future.Based on the definition and characteristics of Vlog,this article first analyzes the current status of Vlog's communication,and then analyzes the external behavior preferences of Vlog user groups based on questionnaires and communication theory.Then,it uses a combination of unstructured interviews and consumer culture to deeply analyze the deep impact of Vlog on user self-cognition and consumer attitudes.Finally,by reflecting on the limitations of Vlog in development,it puts forward some feasible suggestions for its healthy development from the perspective of the platform and users.
