In recent years,the three most striking trends in China are the deepening of aging,the rapid digitalization trend and the unbalanced regional development.Combining these three major backgrounds,exploring the current situation of mobile phone media exposure among the elderly and the differences between the regions are of great significance for improving the quality of life of the elderly group,meeting the spiritual and cultural needs of the elderly group,and promoting the further development of the digital economy.This article selects Haimen City,Jiangsu Province in the east of China,and Gulang County,Gansu Province in the west,as the survey sites to investigate the current situation of the use of smartphones by the elderly in the two places.Using sociological and communication theories such as content and satisfaction,social relationship theory,digital divide,cultural feedback,and a combination of quantitative and qualitative research methods to explore the mobile phone media contact profiles,basic conditions of the two places,and mobile phone media contact aspects Differences,explore the causes of differences,and finally put forward suggestions for optimization.The article analyzes the survey data statistically,and combines the above theories to make an argument,and finally concludes that there is a difference in mobile phone media contact between the two places.The difference is caused by age,education,income,family composition,leisure and entertainment activities The results of the comprehensive influence of various factors such as satisfaction and interpersonal communication,the article finally gives suggestions for optimizing the mobile phone media contact of the elderly group.
