Traditional weak light signal detection is based on the photoelectric effect. It mainly uses a combination of detection equipment and detection technology. The first step is to convert the signal collected by the detector into an analog electrical signal through a photoelectric converter. The analog electrical signal contains important parameters such as peak, phase, and period. Then, the electrical signal is amplified or optimized, and finally the analog electrical signal is converted into an optical signal by photoelectric conversion to realize optical recognition.Common photoelectric detecting devices have complicated source components of noise, such as multiplicative noise of signal light scattering, additive noise of non-target light sources, and multiplicative noise generated by distortion of signal light passing through the system. In general, adjusting the system structure, reducing the background light interference, adding a filtering device to the system, etc.can play a positive role for non-homologous noise, but when the noise is derived from the signal itself and the noise intensity is strong,It does not work very well.In order to be able to extract signals that are annihilated by strong co-channel noise,it is necessary to study a new and effective detection method. The traditional view of noise is harmful signals, reducing the transmission performance of the system, and reducing noise is considered to be an effective way to improve the efficiency of the system. But in some parameter-specific nonlinear systems, noise plays a more complex role than we think.Increasing the noise intensity affects the nonlinear system and the optical signal to be measured. However, when the intensity of the noise reaches a threshold, under the action of noise and a specific nonlinear system, the energy of the noise is transferred to the signal to increase the strength of the signal. We usually refer to this phenomenon as stochastic resonance, which provides new inspiration for us to extract signals that are annihilated by strong co-channel noise. The main contents of this paper are summarized as follows:1.It summarizes the important position of optical communication in modern society and the inevitability and importance of developing low-light performance signal detection. Then we briefly introduce the traditional weak light signal detection, and introduce two new types of weak light signal detection, and analyze the advantages, disadvantages, application and limitations of each method. And introduced the development process of stochastic resonance.2.This section describes the three basic elements of stochastic resonance theory(nonlinear systems, modulated signals, noise signals that satisfy specific parameters),and briefly introduces the basic theory of stochastic resonance, and analyzes several common classical theoretical models.Describes how to measure the performance of stochastic resonance under different conditions.3.This section describes the mechanism of stochastic resonance based on modulation instability. The relationship between the coherence length, the image feature size, and the crystal response time and the maximum gain is analyzed in the pulsed light image reconstruction using stochastic resonance.4.This section is about the simulation study of stochastic resonance reconstructed single-beam pulse multiplicative noise image.Firstly,it introduces the experiment of continuous optical signal multiplicative noise image, then simulates the stochastic resonance extraction effect of single-beam pulse multiplicative noise, and then compared the them to find the difference.
