With the explosive growth of mobile devices,the traditional wireless networks can not satisfy users' quality-of-service(QoS)requirements.Cloud radio access network(C-RAN)is regarded as a promising technique to solve the operation and bandwidth problems for the future mobile communication networks,which can handle an exponentially increasing demand for data transmission.Virtualization technology and dynamic resource allocation strategy help the C-RAN to reduce the number of base stations(BSs)and the energy consumption.The resource allocation algorithms can make the C-RAN architecture to improve the system capacity without changing the infrasture.This thesis investigates the resource allocation algorithms for C-RAN using the auction theory.The contributions of this thesis are as follows.In order to solve the low efficiency of traditional static spectrum allocation and the starvation phenomenon of optimal channel allocation,the resource allocation problem based on double-sided auction theory is studied for C-RAN.Firstly,the system model and the transmission rate equation are introduced.Then,the resource allocation problem is formulated via the double-sided auction theory for C-RAN.Finally,the gradient descent algorithm is applied to solve the above problem.Simulation results show that the proposed algorithm can achieve the better network throughput and resource allocation efficiency.Considering the energy efficiency and spectrum efficiency,the joint spectrum allocation and power allocation algorithm is investigated based on one-sided auction theory for C-RAN.Firstly,the system model and the transmission rate equation are described.Then,the spectrum allocation problem is formulated via the one-sided auction theory,and a spectrum allocation algorithm to maximize the throughput is proposed.Finally,maximizing the minimization energy efficiency among different users is achieved via the power allocation.Compared with other algorithms,the proposed algorithm not only improves the spectrum efficiency,but also guarantees the energy efficiency fairness among different users.
