Electron multiplying CCD(EMCCD),which acts as a new type low light level CCD,has become the nucleus of low light level imaging for its high quantum efficiency and low noise,there are wide application prospects in many fields such as military,astrology and medicine for EMCCD.In the past decade,the development of EMCCD devices is becoming more and more mature in domestic,a number of key technical problems such as lithography has been studied,filling the gap in the field of technology in our country.However,most EMCCD imagine system is designed for a single chip,it's a big limitation for chip test.In that case,this paper designs a stable,online programmable general electronic imaging system for the imaging of different types of EMCCD.For the Imaging of EMCCD chip,three major problems involving the control of the EMCCD chip,the acquisition and transmission of the image data should be solved.This paper studies the principle of the EMCCD chip,analyzes the clock drive signal and DC bias voltage signal of the common EMCCD chip,at the same time,this paper designs the DC power circuit,the sinusoidal circuit,transfer clock circuit based of it,The sine wave signal is the multiply drive signal of the EMCCD.This paper designs correlated double sampling circuit to acquire and transfer the imagine signal output of EMCCD by Camera Link interface protocol.In the program design aspect,the system is controlled by the NI(National Instruments)computer,the EMCCD drivrer timing signal and related synchronization control signal are given by Lab VIEW.The system uses FPGA as the design carrier and uses the Verilog HDL design the serial module,image signal acquisition module,DDS(direct digital frequency synthesizer)module and data transmission module.The paper verifies the generality of the system with the imaging experiment of CCD216 and TC253,the CCD216 chip is also taken as an experiment for the test of the system imaging,multiplication gain and the integral time.It works out that the imaging system can meet the design requirements.
