Participate In Research On The Health Literacy Of E-sports College Students

Purpose : E-sports become popular all over the world,and the pursuit of e-sports by domestic teenagers are even more prevalent.In contrast,the state attaches great importance on the increasing number of questions about e-sports and the decreasing physical health rate of university students.As an important part of health education and health promotion theory,health literacy is an important factor affecting health.By investigating the health literacy of college students participating in e-sports,this study grasps the status quo of their health literacy,analyzes the main influencing factors,and discusses the relationship between e-sports and college students’ health literacy level,to open up new ideas for college students’ health education and promote the healthy development of e-sports.Method:In this study,the snowball sampling method was adopted to conduct the health literacy survey by taking the members of e sports associations of various universities as the survey objects and the same number of college students who did not participate in e sports as the reference objects.The contents of the survey include four parts: health literacy-related knowledge,physical activity,personal basics and physical health.The collected data were sorted out for statistical analysis,socio-demographic characteristics,health literacy status,physical health status,and physical activity status of college students were described and compared.The differences between two groups of people in three dimensions of health literacy,six types of problems,and physical fitness and health and physical activity were compared.The influencing factors of health literacy were analyzed by multiple logistic regression,and the data results were analyzed by qualitative interviews.Result: The number of college students participating in e-sports with health literacy was 20.69%,and the number of college students not participating in e-sports with health literacy was 24.44%.Health literacy status of college students participating in e-sports based on sociodemographic characteristics: boys are higher than girls,science majors are higher than other majors,sophomores are higher than seniors,non-single-parent families are higher than single-parent families,The level of literacy of parents rises with the increase of literacy level.The availability rate of students who have taken relevant health education courses is higher than that of students who have not taken courses.In terms of physical activity,the physical interaction of college students participating in e-sports is lower than that of college students not participating in e-sports.In terms of physical health,the physical healthlevel of college students participating in e-sports is lower than that of college students not participating in e-sports.Conclusion : The health literacy and physical health of college students who participate in e-sports are lower than those who do not participate in e-sports.The behavior of college students in e-sports is similar to the rational addiction model.Accurately integrate the factors affecting health literacy,grasp the fundamentals,and improve the enthusiasm of students through the combination of school and family education,guide the improvement of students’ health level in a better way,guide the students with a low level of health literacy correctly,improve the level of students’ health literacy,and make contributions to the health promotion.
