| With the continuous deepening of the new curriculum reform of basic education,robotics education in China’s primary and secondary schools has developed rapidly,and its educational value are initially recognized by the society.Many researchers have applied teaching methods such as Hands-on Inquiry Based Learning and Project Based Leaching methods to robotics education.However,they are usually just a simple copy of the teaching process and not reflecting the engineering characteristics of robotics education.It is necessary to explore a more appropriate universal teaching model to improve students’ concept understanding ability,stimulate students’ creativity,exercise students’ problem-solving ability and give full play to its teaching value in robotics education,Reverse engineering(RE)has wide application prospects in the teaching of engineering courses as a process of product optimization and re-creation through reverse analysis and research on target products.Traditional teaching methods are difficult to give full play to their educational value in robotics education,while the RE method shows obvious advantages and applicability for robotics education.In order to deal with the lack of application of reverse engineering method and the singularity of teaching model,four kinds of RE teaching models from two dimensions of restoration experiment and reconstruction experiment: Deconstruction Recovery Model,Troubleshooting Model,Element Minitrim Model,and Structural Innovation Model.Furthermore,the "lantern model" for the construction of the reverse engineering teaching has been formed,and four teaching models have been visualized,deepening the theoretical construction of the reverse engineering teaching model.Among them,the Deconstruction Recovery Model focuses on the “dissection-recovery” method to let students grasp the basic composition and implementation methods of target products;The Troubleshooting Model focuses on the “troubleshooting-recovery” method to let students master the working mechanism and implementation method of target products;The Element Minitrim Model focuses on developing students’ thinking in the form of “dissection-element minitrim”;The Structural Innovation Model focuses on promoting students’ knowledge application and innovative practice in the form of “dissectionstructural reconstruction”.In conclusion,the aforementioned teaching models address that students should have the identity consciousness of original product designer.Furthermore,these teaching models all have the characteristics of “creation”,and should be flexibly used and recomposed according to the actual situation.In order to explore the teaching effectiveness of the above model in robotics education,the pre-test and the formal test got on September 2018 and March 2019.The pre-test was at Wuqiao Primary School in Wuxi,Jiangsu Province.The students in four classes of the fifth grade of the elementary school participate in the experiment,two of the classed were experimental classes,which using reverse engineering teaching method,and the other were control classes,which using normal project teaching method.Questionnaire survey and performance testing of all students during the experiment.However,the research results are significantly different from research assumptions,and the experimental scheme was modified after careful in-depth experimental reflection.The formal test was at Longjiang Primary School in Nanjing,Jiangsu Province.The students in two classes of the sixth grade of the elementary school participate in the experiment,including 33 students in the experimental class and 31 students in the control class.The control class adopts the normal project teaching method,and the experimental class adopts the reverse engineering teaching method,which includes four teaching modes: Deconstruction Recovery Model,Troubleshooting Model,Element Minitrim Model,and Structural Innovation Model.There are two teachers in the class,one is the lecturer,and the other is assistant professor.The experimental software and hardware were AS-Block operating software and the little blue cat robot of Creative World.The teaching project designed by the teacher.The knowledge test was prepared at the beginning.Students need to fill the robotics-assisted recording and the design and scoring of the works during the experiment.After the experiment,the learning attitude,immersion,rapport,creative self-efficacy and learning performance were tested.The research results are statistically analyzed using SPSS22.0,and there was no significant difference between reverse engineering teaching and normal project teaching in robotics learning attitude and immersion,but the reverse engineering teaching model has advantages in self-confidence and enjoyment.In terms of robotics learning rapport and learning performance,compared with the normal project teaching method,the reverse engineering teaching method has a significant advantage.The reverse engineering teaching method is significantly superior to the other in terms of creative strategy and individual feedback.There is no significant advantage in creative products,which is consistent with the final robotics work scoring results. |
