Maker education in the form of creation to cultivate students’ practical innovation literacy responds to the demand for innovative talents in the information age,and maker courses,as an important way to implement maker education,are currently mostly in the imitation stage,and teachers generally lack effective teaching methods and methods to make students move towards innovation.Therefore,it is possible to maximize the value of maker education by exploring maker teaching models suitable for cultivating primary school students’ creative ability.Because the creative ability of primary school students is limited,it is more in line with the academic situation to position their innovation level in micro-innovation and gradually improve their innovation ability by adopting corresponding teaching methods.Compared with traditional teaching methods,the reverse engineering teaching method is more suitable for cultivating students’ micro-innovation ability.The teaching advantages of reverse engineering teaching method in engineering disciplines are also applicable in maker education,because its application in the field of basic education is very scarce,so how to effectively apply it still needs further thinking.This study aims to use reverse engineering pedagogy to construct a "teaching model that can cultivate the micro-innovation ability of primary school students" and optimize this model in practice.It is hoped that through the exploration of the maker teaching model,it will provide a reference teaching model and case for the implementation of maker education in primary schools.This paper first sorts out the relevant literature of maker education,reviews the reverse engineering teaching method,explores the possibility of its implementation in the field of makers,and constructs the reverse engineering teaching mode in primary school maker education on the basis of the two,designs a set of courses in this mode and teaches in primary schools,practices a total of three rounds,and optimizes the teaching mode for each completed round in order to achieve better results.This paper adopts the research paradigm of combining quantification and quality to verify the effectiveness of the model,specifically the quantitative statistical methods such as the creativity tendency scale and the student intimacy questionnaire,and collects process data,including the student group division of labor table,the record list of the house design and production process,the evaluation table of the teacher of student works,and the student self-evaluation table of the maker course,and comprehensively analyzes the effect of the course implementation.The results show that the application of the reverse engineering teaching model to maker education can help improve the level of micro-innovation of students and the improved model is more effective.
