The healthy development of teenagers is not only the basis of family happiness, but also the guarantee of social benign operation and development. With the implementation of the "double rest" system and the increasing number of a series of legal holidays in China, students' spare time is more and more abundant, the benign after-school life can ease the pressure of teenagers in school, broaden their horizons, help them establish a scientific and reasonable life values. Therefore,it is meaningful and necessary to study the influence of after-school life on the development of teenagers. Some qualitative studies have demonstrated that children from different family backgrounds experience a "segregated" childhood,as do adolescents.Middle-class families that follow the cultural concept of "cooperative cultivation" arrange various kinds of extracurricular activities for their children to develop their abilities, while the bottom class families that follow the cultural concept of "natural growth" adopt the free-range rearing mode and have less involvement in their children's after-school life. Therefore, this thesis will firstly verify the differences of teenagers' after-school life in different groups by means of quantification.Secondly, the researcher also pays attention to the influence of after-school life on the academic performance and non-cognitive ability of adolescents, and explores whether this effect is regulated by family background factors through interactive analysis.CEPS(2014-2015)will be used for research. The comprehensive academic performance and non-cognitive ability will be the dependent variables. The research will choose homework, shadow education, watching TV,surfing the Internet / playing games, physical activities and cultural activities as the core independent variable of this study.Conclusion.First,there are group differences in the arrangement of after-school life. The higher the socioeconomic status of the family, the more remedial, cultural and physical activities the adolescents participated in,the more time they spent on homework, and the less time they spent watching TV,surfing the Internet/playing games.Second,after-school life has a significant impact on the development of teenagers.Homework within a certain range is conducive to the improvement of academic performance. On weekends, teenagers' participation in tutoring and moderate Internet use is beneficial to their development. However,on school days, participating in tutoring, watching TV,surfing the Internet/playing games are not conducive to their development.Visiting museums, science and technology museums, watching movies, competitions and other cultural activities are beneficial to the development of young people.Thirdly, through interactive analysis,it is found that there is heterogeneity in the influence of after-school life on adolescent development. For the group with lower socioeconomic status, extracurricular tutoring and homework are more beneficial to their academic performance and non-cognitive development, and participating in cultural activities is more beneficial to their academic performance, but watching TV,surfing the Internet and playing games will also have a greater negative impact on the development of these groups. For the group with higher family socioeconomic status, daily tutoring is more unfavorable to their academic performance and the cultivation of positive emotional state, but various cultural activities have a more significant role in promoting the development of non-cognitive ability of this group.Suggestions.First,the government should lead the society, schools and communities to pay attention to the development of disadvantaged teenagers and give them targeted help.Strengthen the supervision and management of cram school to ensure that it has a positive impact on the development of young people.Second, schools should organize efficient teaching activities;various beneficial extra-curricular activities can be arranged to the teenagers in the disadvantaged class;provide parents with scientific and reasonable parenting guidance and advice.Third, parents should scientifically and rationally arrange the after-school life of teenagers,so as to combine work and leisure in an orderly way and make the best use of the after-school time.
