Based on the background of New Curriculum Standard,and the theory of high-school Chinese core competencies,all Chinese teaching activities are aimed to improve students ‘core competencies of Chinese subject,as well as the reading teaching activities of the whole book.By the way of reading teaching in the whole book to cultivate students ‘core competencies of Chinese subject is a new topic in current high-school Chinese teaching research.This paper mainly studies the specific strategies to improve students ‘core competencies of Chinese subject by reading teaching of the whole book.Therefore,this study is not only the basic research of high-school Chinese reading teaching of whole book,but also enriches the related theories of core competencies cultivation in high-school Chinese subject.This study is helpful for high-school teachers to rethink the problems existed in reading teaching of the whole book in high-school Chinese subject,and to improve teaching abilities in cultivating students ‘core competencies of Chinese subject by reading teaching of the whole book,so as to lay a solid foundation for students' all-round development.This study includes three parts,all together six chapters.Part one: Introduction(the first chapter)mainly including the reasons of choosing this topic,the research significance,the present situation and the research methods.Part two(the second chapter): the theoretical discussion of the core competencies in high-school Chinese subject and reading teaching of the whole book.First of all,the definitions of related concepts from core competencies to subject core competences and core competencies of Chinese subject,from whole book reading to reading teaching research of whole book,finding out the similarities through the inner relations between the“ reading teaching research of whole book” and the “core competencies of Chinese subject”,theoretically discussing the necessities and feasibilities of research in combining these two concepts.The second section is about the systematic study of high-school Chinese reading teaching of the whole book in the view of core competencies of Chinese subject in four aspects including the targets,contents,implementation and teaching evaluation of reading teaching of the whole book to discuss the theory and strategies of whole book reading teaching.Part three(chapter three to six): the main part of this paper,the new curriculum standard defined four aspects of Chinese subject core competencies including “language construction and application”,“thinking development and improvement”,“aesthetic appreciation and creation” and “culture understanding and inheritance”,from these for aspects specifically discussing how to realize the related competencies in the course of reading teaching of the whole book.The third chapter discusses high-school reading teaching of the whole book and language construction and application;the fourth chapter is about high-school reading teaching of the whole book and thinking development and improvement;the fifth chapter is about high-school reading teaching of the whole book and aesthetic appreciation and creation;the sixth chapter is about high-school reading teaching of the whole book and culture understanding and inheritance.
