Family is the main place where children's psychological quality is formed.Parents can influence their children's psychological activities and thus their subjective well-being through their parenting style.In recent years,a large number of migrant children have been educated with urban children.The upbringing of migrant workers is different from that of urban parents.Different types of upbringing affect children's subjective well-being.Therefore,it is necessary to study the family rearing style and subjective well-being of the children in the upper grades of primary school and the children of migrant workers.In this study,400 senior pupils from a school in Nankai District of Tianjin were selected as subjects,which were divided into two parts: migrant children and urban children.A questionnaire survey was conducted using the Parental Rearing Style Assessment Scale and the Overall Well-being Scale GWB(China Edition).On the one hand,this study compares the parenting styles and subjective well-being of migrant workers' children and urban children in senior primary schools;on the other hand,it studies the relationship between parenting styles and subjective well-being.Through the data processing and analysis,finally according to the results of the study put forward targeted recommendations.The results show that:(1)There are no significant gender differences in the five parental rearing styles among the senior pupils in primary schools,but there are differences in grades.The most autocratic and neglectful rearing styles are found in the fourth grade students,and the most spoiled rearing styles are found in the fifth grade students.There are significant differences in the source of students.The autocratic and neglectful type of migrant workers' families are more than the urban families,while the urban families are more likely to adopt the trust and encouragement type of upbringing.(2)There are no significant differences in the overall well-being and its six dimensions in gender and grade,and there are significant differences in the source of students.The overall well-being of children of urban families and their satisfaction and interest in life,energy,melancholy or happy mood,control of emotion andbehavior,relaxation and tension are higher than those of children of migrant workers.Children of migrant workers are more worried about health than children of urban families.(3)Parental rearing styles of senior primary school students are significantly correlated with subjective well-being.(4)Parents' adoption of trust and encouragement education has a significant positive impact on the overall well-being of senior primary school students and their satisfaction and interest in life,energy,melancholy or happy mood,control of emotion and behavior,relaxation and tension,and has a significant negative impact on health concerns of senior primary school students.Parents' neglect-oriented upbringing has a significant positive impact on health concerns of senior primary school students.The autocratic parenting style has a significant negative impact on the energy,melancholy or happy mood of senior primary school students.
