Decimals can not only be regarded as a continuation of the concept of integer place values,but also have a close relationship with fractions.It can be seen that decimals occupy an important position in the course of numbers.Today,due to technological advances,the use of big data,artificial intelligence,and data analysis,our data requirements are no longer just integers,but more accurate decimals.However,after consulting the literature,it was found that there were fewer studies on decimals.Based on the above reasons,this research carried out the research on the misconception of decimals in primary school.According to the research requirements,the knowledge of decimals is divided into three dimensions: the concept of decimals,the meaning of decimals,and the calculation of decimals.Multiple secondary indicators are subdivided together in each dimension.The theoretical framework of the ten-dimensional index of three-dimensionality in this research.The ten indexes are: decimal identification,decimal reading,decimal writing,decimal place name and place value,decimal fraction estimation,aggregation of decimals-singular and plural conversion,decimal image Representation(discrete type),fractional image representation(continuous type),denseness,fractional fraction mutualization,decimal calculation.And prepare the test paper of decimal misconception,select the 5th grade students in two classes in each of the three schools in Tianjin as the research object,and test.It is found through research that(1)fifth grade students have a good grasp of decimal calculation knowledge.(2)In terms of knowledge of the meaning of the decimal dimension,the overall performance is better,and the indicators within the dimension have significant differences.(3)The performance of the concept of decimals is average,reflecting that students have problems with understanding of decimals.In the future,we need to deepen from an understanding perspective Learn.After research,the following suggestions are made on the transformation of the concept of decimals in the fifth grade students.First,clarify the role of decimal places and highlight the role of the decimal point;second,establish the connection between decimals and life,and communicate the old knowledge;third,understand the arithmetic and algorithms.
