The Curriculum Standards for Mathematics in Ordinary High School(2017 edition)put forward mathematical modeling as one of the core qualities of mathematics.Therefore,mathematical modeling has become an ability that high school students should own.The way to advance the high school students to possess this ability in daily teaching activities has become one of the focuses of mathematics education.According to the teaching suggestions and requirements of mathematical modeling for senior high school students in the Curriculum Standards for Mathematics in Ordinary High School(2017 edition),literature analysis,test survey,and other methods are adopted to conduct theoretical research on the teaching methods for cultivating students' mathematical modeling ability.The chapter "Exponential function and Logarithmic function" is used to carry out teaching practice.The main research content is: according to the requirements of the new curriculum standard,the chapter "Exponential function and Logarithmic function" is designed from the perspective of mathematical modeling,and the corresponding teaching practice is completed.Through the actual feedback of teaching,the effective teaching method to train and improve the mathematical modeling ability of senior high school students in daily teaching is obtained.The research shows that teachers should follow the principle of systematicness and wholeness when cultivating students' mathematical modeling ability.In terms of the teaching,the article believes that the introduction based on real situations can strengthen students' awareness of modeling,and give play to students' dominant position can conducive to cultivating necessary ability of mathematical modeling.Teachers should also pay attention to the application of textbook knowledge,strengthen awareness of "using mathematics",and lead students through the process of mathematical modeling,so as to standardize modeling behavior of students.Such methods as mining modeling materials,encouraging students to go into life and constructing "second class" are also conducive to further improving mathematical modeling ability.
