Boredom is caused by an uncomfortable complex emotional state such as helplessness,loneliness,depression,apathy,etc.,which occurs when an individual fails to meet his or her needs for internal and external stimulation,and is accompanied by lack of motivation,lack of concentration,and decreased interest.Academic burnout refers to the phenomenon of students' psychological exhaustion and behavioral avoidance of learning when they have lost their interest and motivation in learning due to a long period of heavy academic pressure.Studies have shown that boredom and academic burnout are common among middle school students,while boredom and academic burnout are significantly associated with negative emotions.Good and stable mood is an important indicator of individual mental health.Junior high school students are in a critical period of physical and mental development,and have a good and stable mood,which is conducive to the successful completion of their studies and healthy growth.The purpose of this study is to explore the effect of boredom tendency on academic burnout and the relationship between student life satisfaction.This study puts forward effective education suggestions in helping junior high school students to alleviate their academic burnout.In this study,a total of 570 junior high school students were studied in the Yaohua Middle School of Tianjin and the Yubei Middle School of Chongqing.The results show that(1)the boring tendency,academic burnout,and student life satisfaction of junior high school students are all on the upper-middle level.(2)There are significant differences in grades of boring and academic burnout among junior high school students,with an overall upward trend,and a downward trend in student life satisfaction;in terms of gender,boys are more boring than females,and junior high school students have academic burnout and student life satisfaction There is no significant difference in gender.(3)There is a positive correlation between boring tendency and academic burnout in junior high school students,and a positive negative correlation between student life satisfaction and boredom tendency and academic burnout.(4)Boredom tendency directly affects students' level of academic burnout,which indirectly reduces the level of academic burnout through student life satisfaction;student life satisfaction plays a part of the mediating role in the relationship between boring tendencies and academic burnout of junior high school students.Research conclusion: The boring phenomenon and academic burnout of junior high school students are common,and with the increase of grades,the boring level and academic burnout of junior high school students gradually increase;the level oflife satisfaction of students gradually decreases.The higher the level of boredom,the higher the level of academic burnout and the lower the life satisfaction of students.The boring tendency of junior high school students can positively predict the level of academic burnout of junior high school students,and it can also reduce the level of academic burnout of junior high school students through student life satisfaction.
