With the arrival of the era of comprehensive national economic prosperity and the development of the integration of culture and tourism,the tourism industry in Xiangxi minority areas has ushered in an unprecedented development prospect.In the past 10 years,the number of local tourism receptions has increased by 6 times,and the proportion of total tourism revenue in GDP has also been It has increased by a factor of4 and accounts for about 3/4 of the total GDP.As a place inhabited by ethnic minorities,the Xiangxi region has the characteristics of "independence,speciality,newness,and uniqueness" in its architectural culture,custom culture,dress culture,art culture,singing and dancing culture,etc.It breeds unique and rich regional cultural resources and attracts Visitors from home and abroad come here.Although the tourism industry in Xiangxi is developing steadily,the problem that restricts the improvement of the quality of local tourism services is the serious shortage of tourism talents in Xiangxi,and the knowledge structure and cultural literacy of tourism talents cannot meet the needs of the local tourism market.Therefore,in the curriculum of tourism majors in the secondary tourism vocational schools in Xiangxi region,courses with the cultural characteristics of the minority ethnic groups in Xiangxi are set up to guide students to become familiar with and master the folk customs,regional characteristics,historical context,etc.of the minority ethnic groups in Xiangxi,and cultivate their cultural literacy.Inspiring students to love their hometown will be of great significance and role in promoting the high-quality development of tourism in minority areas in western Hunan.Based on this,this article takes the current situation of regional cultural courses in secondary tourism vocational schools in Xiangxi region as the research starting point,selects four secondary vocational schools with the characteristics of the school as the research object,and explores the area by interview method,observation method and field investigation method.The problems of cultural courses in the tourism professional curriculum of local secondary vocational schools were investigated,and it was found that these school tourism majors generally have weak teachers,few teaching hours,single course content and curriculum evaluation in the minority cultural courses.The problem is not objective.Therefore,suggestions for optimization are proposed: first,strengthen the training of teachers in regional cultural courses and enhance the strength of teachers in regional cultural courses;second,increase the hours of regional cultural courses and enhance students' understanding of such courses;third,optimize the regions The content of cultural courses stimulates students' enthusiasm for learning;fourth,implement multiple evaluation methods to ensureobjective and fair assessment.
