Research On The Implementation Effect Of Public Physical Education Optional Courses In Shaanxi Normal University

The public PE optional course means that the school offers a variety of different sports programs.The students,as the choice-makers,are allowed to choose the appropriate learning content,learning time and teachers.In this way,this kind of new course fully meets the students' new requirements for physical education curriculum.This new PE teaching model,which breaks the old class system and regroups the students,is able to improve the students' health and cultivate their lifelong sports awareness.This paper analyzes the actual situation of the public PE optional course of Shaanxi Normal University by referring to the related literature data,doing interviews and handing out questionnaires.Mathematical statistics method and logic analysis method are also employed.This paper is aimed at finding out the problems of the course and then proposes the corresponding strategies to improve the quality of teaching and promote the development of the public PE optional course.Based on the survey data and analysis results,the paper draws the following conclusions:1.The survey results show that the students of Shaanxi Normal University are in good physical condition,their body shape is basically at a normal level,and the physical quality compliance rate is high.Most students can participate in physical exercise regularly,can reasonably view the sports game process and results and can evaluate the sports games in an objective manner.The school has done a good job in cultivating students' mental health and social adaptation ability.The majority of students can relieve psychological stress through physical exercise.They also demonstrate good willpower,a good sense of competition and cooperation as well as good interpersonal interaction ability.But at the same time,some students also show higher social physique anxiety and the speed quality is significantly lower than other physical quality levels,which means their sports skills still need to be improved.2.Through the ordered multivariate Logsitic regression analysis,the students think that the influencing factors that have significant influence on the public PE optional course of Shaanxi Normal University include the followings:the curriculum project,the venue equipment,the teaching level of teachers,the character and teaching method of teachers,the teacher's control of classroom atmosphere,the teacher-student relationship,the teaching evaluation method,student's body shape,student's attitude of learning,student's willingness and interest in participation of exercise,student's mastery of sports skills,student's attitude of class selection and exercise partner.3.This study found that the following problems existed in the implementation of the public PE optional course of Shaanxi Normal University:The curriculum arrangement can not be consistent with the students' interests and hobbies.The venue equipment and facilities fail to meet the students' needs.Teachers of the course still primarily use traditional teaching methods and the evaluation method is not mature enough.Some teacher-student relationships are not well handled.Students fail to have clear goals in the choice-making process.Some students only want to choose those simple and easy courses.Some students even have strong antipathy to the public PE optional course.Among all the reasons why students fail to choose their preferred course,objective ones take up the large part.Few students are involved in the collective physical exercise activities.Many factors prevent students from practicing the sports skills they learned in the class.4.According to the problems existing in the implementation of the public PE optional course of Shaanxi Normal University,the following countermeasures are proposed:Apart from teaching students sports skills,teachers should also pay attention to the teaching of related theoretical knowledge.Teachers should scientifically impart to students through various ways the importance of long-term participation in exercising.While attaching great importance to the overall training of students,teachers should also pay special attention to the students with development potential.The school should attach great importance to reform and innovation by introducing or developing new projects and adding advanced projects.The school should use sports venues scientifically,paying attention to the maintenance and replacement of sports equipment.The campus network should be optimized and the course-selection system should be improved.The retraining of teachers ought to be strengthened so as to guarantee that the teachers can timely accept and updated their teaching philosophy.The teaching evaluation system should be improved by establishing more scientific evaluation method.Teachers should encourage students to choose their own sports course according to their hobbies and physical conditions.The community organization effect ought to be fully used so as to invigorate the sports culture atmosphere of the campus.
