Nowadays,some students' homework takes a long time and cannot be completed on time.They are often criticized by teachers and parents.Their grades are unsatisfactory.Gradually,learning difficulties arise,resulting in learning helplessness and weariness,which in turn aggravates academic procrastination,seriously affecting the development of students' physical and mental health and forming a vicious circle.Such pupils are not one or two,but more and more.Therefore,academic procrastination is a problem that we can not ignore.It is necessary to deeply analyze the causes of academic procrastination and actively explore the methods of intervention.A large number of studies at home and abroad show that procrastination is the failure of self-control.In recent years,our country attaches great importance to students' self-regulated learning,and it is precisely the students who procrastinate lack the initiative of self-regulated learning,which is manifested by poor self-control ability.In this study,776 pupils of grade 3,4 and 5 in primary school were tested by using the Academic Delay Scale and the Self-Control Ability Questionnaire.According to the results of the test,440 students with procrastination were selected as subjects and divided into experimental group and control group.The experimental group received two months of self-control training,a total of 23 activities,through two months of self-control training,so as to reduce the level of academic procrastination.The control group received no intervention.After the intervention,the experimental group and the control group were tested after the intervention,and then the experimental group was retested one month later.The study found that self-control ability was correlated with academic procrastination,and was negatively correlated.The main reason that affects pupils' academic procrastination is their dislike of tasks.Self-control ability training can effectively improve pupils' self-control ability and reduce their academic procrastination.The effect of intervention is good and stable.Self-control ability training group counseling effect is good.
