RENREN NET has got abundant applications,so it has become the social platform that Shanghai youth carry out social networking activities frequently.Networking now has become the important par in the process of adolescent socialization instead of the traditional social.In this paper,Shanghai Youth’s network social behavior has been chosen as the subject investigated,and through the literature research,questionnaires,in-depth interviews and other research methods to investigate Shanghai youth’s network social behavior,and their present situation,Social Anxiety etc.According to the uses and gratification theory,this study combined survey and in-depth interview methodologies,attempting to find the associations between social anxiety and the social network behavior of Shanghai adolescents.Results showed that there were more higher-scored social-anxiety adolescents than low-scored adolescents in Shanghai.Furthermore,social anxiety is positively correlated with the frequency of social network usage.Social anxiety was also positively correlated with the network social motivation,i.e.,network in general,to find course information,affection,to date,help others to contact me,and to find people with common interests.Finally,social anxiety was also positively correlated with gratifications obtained from social network use,which includes killing time,affection,fashion,sharing problems,extending network,as well as knowing others’ life.Base on the research conclusion,this paper provided some strategic advises for the construction and management of social networking sites as well.
