Innovative talents plays an impartial role in innovation,and their cultivation is mainly from school education.Physics is an exploratory subject.The process of learning physics not only needs observation,guess,refutation,exploration and verification,but also requires intuition,imagination and abstract thinking.Innovative thinking also needs guess,refutation,exploration,intuition,imagination and abstract thinking.Moreover,the process and result of innovation are mostly related to physics,therefore,it is particularly important to cultivate students’ innovative thinking in physics teaching.The main research methods adopted in this paper are literature research,questionnaire and case study.Through searching literature,it is found that the studies on the cultivation of students’ innovative thinking in physics teaching have not elaborated enough,but some thoroughly studies on innovative thinking are not involved in physics teaching.This paper carries out the research of middle school physics teaching based on innovative theory.Applying the research results of psychology and related innovative ideas to physics teaching not only provides theoretical support for teachers to train students’ innovative thinking,but also explains the specific application in physics teaching.This article carries on the research of middle school physics teaching based on innovation theory from three aspects.Firstly,it explains the theoretical basis of cultivating innovative thinking.To cultivate students’ innovative thinking,it is necessary to know exactly what innovative thinking is,analyze the meaning,characteristics,classification of innovative thinking and reveal the relationship between physics and cultivation of innovative thinking.Secondly,it is necessary to understand what has been achieved in practical teaching about cultivating students’ innovative thinking in physics.Lastly,in order to cultivate students’ innovative thinking in daily teaching,considering the current students’ learning pressure,the development of innovative thinking and the actual situation of school education,two types of innovative theories are selected from numerous innovative theories: intelligent three-dimensional structure model and STEAM education theory.Each theory has carried on the concrete analysis and the elaboration,which expects to help the physics teaching practice.
