Research On Idolatry In The Role Model Education Of Children

Model education is an important method and way of moral education.In the process of implementing model education,a new trend is attracting researchers'attention,that is the phenomenon of idol worship,which is becoming more and more common among children.Idol worship is an important part of the spiritual life of children,but different people choose different types of idols,the impact on them is also different.The significance of this study is to investigate the status of model education and idol worship of junior high school students in Jiangsu province,understand the effectiveness of the current school model education,and find out the problems caused by the idol worship of students.The main research methods used in this paper are literature,questionnaire and interview.The subjects of the questionnaire survey were mainly 1077students from 8 junior middle schools in Jiangsu province,to understood the status of model education and idol worship as well as the problems existing in idol worship,analyzed the causes of the problems,and finally proposed reasonable educational guiding strategies to help children conduct rational worship.The problems found in the survey and interview are as follows:the model education still has problems such as the model image is too perfect and unreal;When choosing idols,the proportion of outstanding figures is decreasing and that of stars is increasing.Most parents and teachers are indifferent to the phenomenon of children's idol worship.Children are worried about idol worship.In view of these problems,the author analyzed the following reasons:The popularity of Internet broadens the channels for students to obtain idol information,overburdened students need to catharsis channels,the school choose the model is not enough to arouse the interest of students,which cause students to over-worship stars;The educational atmosphere of the family and the attitude of' the teachers influence the degree of the students' idol worship.The psychological characteristics of junior middle school students,the imperfect education about idols in schools,and the excessive publicity of stars by mass media,which aggravate the degree of irrationality of students.According to the investigation of the phenomenon of idolatry in the role model education of children in junior high school and the related theoretical research,the author tries to put forward the following educational guiding strategies:innovating the idea of model education,implementing the model-idol new education.This new educational concept is mainly carried out from four aspects:schools attach importance to the phenomenon of idolatry,and set up a new image of idols,using specific methods to implement;The family creates a good educational environment and guides the rational worship of children;the society advocates positive and healthy mainstream values,and creates a positive and healthy cultural atmosphere;individuals should correctly understand themselves,improve their judgment,and seek their own spiritual beliefs.
