Under the background of transformation to strangers society,it is of great educational and social significance for college students to learn to treat the "strangers" around them morally.Most college students come from well off families.For them,impoverished college students are a small group with unfamiliar social attributes.Literature studies have shown that impoverished female college students tend to be less resilient,introverted and sensitive than impoverished male college students.They are the disadvantaged group in the unfamiliar group of poor college students.If the needs of impoverished female college students can be fully known and responded by other college students,impoverished female college students will achieve better developments in college study and life,and this will help more college students learn to treat strangers morally from the minor matters.This study tries to reveal the needs of poor female college students,describe the status quo of college students’ response to the needs of poor female college students,analyze the existing problems,and try to put forward countermeasures.This study is divided into five parts.The first part mainly provides theoretical support for determining the ideas and methods of this study,based on the domestic and overseas literature reviews and concept definitions.The second part defines the concept of Impoverished Female College Students,and briefly introduces the interviewees of the work,including five impoverished female college students who get tuition loans or grants through the green channel and some other college students.The third part studies the needs of impoverished female college students,mainly including the needs of economic assistance,psychological assistance,academic assistance,which provides a more reliable basis for students to respond to the needs of poor female college students.The fourth part describes the current situation of college students’ response to the needs of impoverished female college students,including the way to find out their needs,the way to respond,and the effect of response.The study shows that impoverished female college students can be found by the means of submission of grant application,daily chat and observation,and experience of learning together;the response is mainly reflected in economic,psychological and academic help;and the effects of responding could be divided into positive effects,negative effects and less than expected effects.The fifth part discusses the strategies to improve the response to the needs of impoverished female college students,including the suggestions for impoverished female college students and the suggestions for classmates of impoverished female college students.The conclusion summarizes and evaluates the whole paper.
