| Culture is a unique symbol of a country which is different from other nations.Excellent traditional Chinese culture is the spiritual lifeblood of the Chinese nation and the most precious cultural treasure of the Chinese nation,which contains the spiritual pursuit and value orientation of the Chinese people.The inheritance and promotion of Chinese excellent traditional culture is an important manifestation of the return of national character of education,and the education of Chinese traditional culture for primary school students is the basis of the education of the whole national traditional culture.This study focuses on the current status of Chinese traditional culture learning among primary school students,aiming to stimulate their enthusiasm and interest in learning Chinese traditional culture.At the same time,it arouses the attention of school educators and parents to the traditional Chinese culture education of primary school students,and provides relevant guidance.Taking Baoshan District,Yangpu District,Huangpu District,Xuhui District and Minhang District in Shanghai as examples,this study conducted a questionnaire survey on the status quo of pupils’ learning of Chinese traditional culture,starting with the content of pupils’ learning,participation experience,value awareness,motivation needs,learning approaches,learning gains and learning problems,and interviewed the front-line teachers in some schools.The conclusions are as follows: at present,primary school students have rich knowledge of traditional culture;lack of personal experience of traditional culture;lack of deep understanding of the value of traditional culture;preference for imaginative stories;dominant external motivation of learning;diverse ways of learning traditional culture;and diverse problems of learning traditional culture.At present,the fundamental purpose of Chinese traditional culture education is to cultivate people by virtue.Under the background of the undercurrent of examination-oriented education,the traditional culture learning of primary school students in China is facing challenges.In this regard,this study puts forward the following suggestions: carefully select the learning materials of traditional culture;Increase the traditional cultural experience of primary school students;cultivate their appreciation ability of traditional culture;let traditional culture into campus life;combine tradition with the times to innovate teaching;pay attention to the words and deeds of parents and elders;and standardize the promotion and guidance of mass media.Through these suggestions,we try to promote pupils to feel the charm of traditional culture in the real learning of traditional culture,and do a good job in inheriting and carrying forward the task of the era of excellent traditional culture. |
