As the most potential economic power in this century,the connection between China and the rest of the world are becoming more and more extensive,the global demand for mandarin learning is growing rapidly.Under the background of international mandarin teaching,the research of nationalized mandarin teaching becomes more and more important,and the trend of young person learning mandarin overseas is getting more and more attention.With the development of the economic relations between China and the UK,the learning of mandarin as a second language is becoming more and more popular,and the number of primary and secondary schools offering Chinese courses in the UK continues to increase.In recent years,the relevant research on mandarin teaching in British primary and secondary schools has gradually become rich,but there is still very little attention to Northern Ireland.There are few researches on the basis of on-the-spot investigation and suggestions.Based on the mandarin teaching practice of Confucius classroom in Northern Ireland,this paper discusses and ponders mandarin teaching in primary schools in this area.In order to enrich the research in this field,it is expected to provide true and effective reference materials for mandarin teaching in Northern Ireland primary schools.This paper takes mandarin teaching in primary schools in Northern Ireland as the research object,selects S primary school as the specific starting point,and discusses the background of English mandarin teaching and mandarin curriculum in English primary schools.The paper combs the general situation of Confucius Institute at Ulster University and Confucius classroom of Southwest College,probes into the objectives of modern foreign language teaching in the curriculum guidance document of Northern Ireland Primary School,and introduces the overall teaching situation of S School.The history of foreign language teaching,the curriculum design of mandarin teaching and concrete examples of classroom teaching are analyzed in order to provide a useful reference for mandarin teaching in local primary schools.On this basis,this article has carried on the overall thinking summary to the primary school mandarin teaching in Northern Ireland area,including the overall teaching plan improvement,the teaching idea renewal,the teaching content design and the teaching method application four aspects,such as the timely recording of teaching progress,the promotion of mandarin App mobile learning,the lively teaching content and the entertaining teaching methods and so on.
