In 2011,The Mathematics Curriculum Standards for Compulsory Education illuminates that the establishment of the model thought is the basic approach of understanding mathematics and the external world,and it is helpful to promote interest in learning mathematics and improve the awareness of applied mathematics.As far as mathematics is concerned,the more prominent aspect of quality education is the cultivation of application consciousness.Therefore,the improvement of the mathematical modeling Level is beneficial to the implementation of Quality Education.Understanding the cognitive difficulties in the process of mathematical modeling provides a basis for effectively improving the level of mathematical modeling.This study has three research contents: Firstly,there are two predictions before of formal testing.After each prediction test,the mathematical modeling test is adjusted appropriately.Finally,determine the "junior high school students' mathematical modeling test”;Secondly,understand the level of students' mathematical modeling ability;Thirdly,according to the level of students in the process of modeling,diagnosis and analysis students' cognitive difficulties in the process of mathematical modeling.According to the survey,the conclusion is drawn :Firstly,the level of students' mathematical modeling ability is not high.In "Motion of wiper" and "Refueling of automobiles",the level of students' modeling ability Level is between level 1 and level 2;In "Turntable game" and "Supermarket operation management",the level of students' modeling ability is between level 2 and level 3;Secondly,there is no significant difference in the level of mathematical modeling ability between boys and girls.What's more,the level of male students' mathematical modeling ability is slightly higher than that of female students;Thirdly,students have four aspects of cognitive difficulties in the process of mathematical modeling:In the first aspect,it is difficult to structure the realistic problem situation,find out the essential factors in the problem situation,and grasp a few key messages.Fundamentally,students can not accurately understand the meaning of the problem;In the second aspect,it can structure the actual problem situation and grasp a few key messages.But it is difficult to abstract some information into mathematical problems;In the third aspect,Mathematical problems can be abstracted from real situations.But it is difficult to construct a reasonable and accurate mathematical model,and be skilled in using mathematical methods to solve problems in the field of mathematics;Finally,most of the students neglect the step ofexplaining and testing the results of mathematics in the real situation,which separates mathematics from the reality of life.
