Reducing students’ overweight learning burden has become an important measure to promote students’ core literacy and physical and mental health.Homework has been the focus of attention for many years.As one of the important grasps of classroom teaching and learning ability training,homework on the one hand becomes a tool to strengthen classroom knowledge and enhance students’ ability,on the other hand,homework is also an important way to promote students’understanding and cognitive ability development,and teachers understand students’ knowledge mastery.However,from the current situation of primary school students’ homework layout,there are some problems that are not suitable for the development of pupils’ comprehensive quality,such as"mechanical,repetitive homework" and so on.These problems affect the initiative of pupils in the face of homework,and are not conducive to their physical and mental health and the development of core literacy.Therefore,it is of great practical and theoretical value to strengthen the research on the suitability of homework.The research mainly adopts the methods of literature research,questionnaire survey and interview,and takes the senior teachers and students of Lianyungang G Primary School as the object of investigation.Through the survey of the number of primary school students’ homework,teachers’(parents)homework concept,the way teachers assign homework and the content of homework in G County School of Lianyungang City,although the homework of primary school students presents a trend.There are some good trends,but there are still some problems,such as heavy schoolwork burden of primary school students,overtime completion,single source of homework,single form of homework,one-sided view of homework of teachers and students,inadequate appropriateness of hierarchical design and so on.It is found that the main reasons are the inadequate management of homework,the unfavorable control of teachers’ homework assignment and the low scientific level of parents’ understanding of homework.Accordingly,it is further proposed that schools should comprehensively strengthen homework management,renew teachers’ homework concept,enrich homework assignment methods,and control homework time to improve the suitability of primary school students’ homework.Countermeasures.In order to promote the suitability of primary school students’ homework,and provide reference for reducing the overweight learning burden of primary school students.
