| The two athletes studied in this paper are:China’s elite track and field athlete Guo Zhongze, was born in 1996.He won the 400m men’s championship at the 13th National Games in 2017 and broke the dusty 16-year national record with a score of 45.14 seconds. The South African elite track and field athlete Van Niekerk, born in 1992,won the men’s 400m championship at the 31st Olympic Games in 2016 and broke the world record of 17 years with a score of 43.03 seconds. This paper adopts the methods of literature, video observation and comparative analysis. This paper finds out the similarities and differences of speed distribution and kinematics characteristics between Guo Zhongze and Van Niekerk, which is not only a direct guide to improve the special training of outstanding men’s 400-meter runners in our country, but also to find out the similarities and differences between the speed distribution and kinematics characteristics of the two outstanding athletes. It is also of practical significance to enrich the research on the special technology of 400-meter race in China,to improve the scientific training level and to improve the overall level of 400-meter race as soon as possible. The study found:1、Guo Zhongze’s 400-meter full-distance running speed distribution as a whole showed a gradual downward trend, and its four hundred-meter segmented speed distribution features are mainly fast,sub-fast,slower,and slow.Van Niekerk’s 400-meter running speed distribution is obviously different from that of Guo Zhongze. The four hundred-meter segmented speed distribution features are mainly fast, fast, second fastest and slow.2、The time difference between Guo Zhongze and the half distance of the 400 meter race is 2.2 seconds and the average speed difference is 0.91m/s.The time difference between Van Niekerk and the half distance of the 400 meter race is 2 seconds and the average speed difference is 0.85m/s.Compared with Guo Zhongze,Van Niekerk’s 400 and half run speed distribution is more reasonable.3、Guo Zhongze’s half way step is more uniform.Van Niekerk ’s step length is the shortest in the first hundred meters, the second hundred meters reach the longest and then gradually shortens the pace.4、The overall frequency of Guo Zhongze and Van Niekerk ’s 400 meter run of 100 meters is decreasing gradually.Compared with Guo Zhongze,Van Niekerk has more advantages in the frequency of step. The first three hundred meters of step frequency are significantly higher than Guo Zhongze. |
