With the advent of the "big data" era,data processing has been paid more and more attention.It is one of the necessary capabilities for everyone to learning data processing and do this in appropriate way.With the new round of curriculum reform,new requirements were generated for high school students.Learn to systematically experience the whole process of data collection and processing through solving practical problems,and regard the data processing ability,space imagination ability,abstraction ability,logical reasoning ability,computation ability as the five basic abilities of high school students.Data processing capability includes three processes: data collection,data consolidation and data application.It is a dynamic process of analyzing and solving problems.In order to fully understand the current situation of senior high school students’ ability of data processing,the study uses the high school students’ data processing ability questionnaire,documentation method,statistical analysis method and interviewing method to test the data processing ability of high school students.the following conclusions are drawn:1.In general,the data processing ability of high school students is relatively weak currently.The students with a high level of data processing ability only accounted for2.11%,and the highest score rate was only 80%.2.From the analysis of data collection,data consolidation and data application,the students’ scoring rate on the three dimensions is not more than 40%.In contrast,students performed better in the data using dimension,but still slightly below the normal level.3.From the perspective of gender,there is no significant difference in the comprehensive level of data processing between male and female students.There is significant difference in data collection dimension,and there is no significant difference in data consolidation dimension and data application dimension.4.From the perspective of subjects,there is no significant difference between liberal arts and science students in the comprehensive level of data processing ability.There is significant difference in data collection dimension,and there is no significant difference in data consolidation dimension and data application dimension.5.From different schools,there are significant differences in data processing ability forstudents in different types of schools.There are significant differences in the three dimensions of data collection,data consolidation and data application.Based on the comprehensive analysis of the survey results,combined with interviews with some teachers and students,it puts forward different teaching strategies to improve the data processing ability of high school students from different aspects,and puts forward the prospect for the study of data processing ability of high school students.
