In January 2003,Fudan University in Shanghai "opened the door of Chinese universities for majors changing".It allowed 244 students to choose new majors and continue learning.In 2005,People’s Republic of China revised and promulgated by the Ministry of education and the implementation of the "Regulations" management of colleges and universities students,made clear that "for college students to changing major,students can apply to the professional according to the regulations of the school,to students approved by the school".With the support of the national policy,since 2006,the famous universities in the country have launched their own professional documents,and universities have mastered the autonomy of students.In order to adapt to the trend of majors changing,N University introduced the implementation method of N full-time undergraduate transfer major in April 30,2005.In order to understand the transitional status of students in N Schools,the author analyzes and statistics the N School 2013-2015 level colleges’ transfer of professional statistics tables and the transfer of majors into and out of the situation list,and found the College of Foreign Languages,the College of Journalism and Communication,the College of Psychology,and the College of Teacher Education are popular colleges.The College of Social Development,the College of Public Administration,the College of Physical Science and Technology,the College of Life Sciences,and the College of Energy and Mechanical Engineering are transferred out popular colleges.In order to comprehensively and accurately understand the cause of the students changing theirs majors in n school,at the same time to majors changing policy for N University implementation and management to provide some useful suggestions,the author uses a combination of theoretical and empirical approaches,self-designed questionnaire,investigating the cause of the students majors changing from two angles of personal reasons and external reasons,at the same time in-depth interviews to turn professional students,combining with the methods of questionnaire and interview to understand the majors changing real thoughts of students.The survey results show that personal reasons affect students to majors changing are:1.Personal interests and hobbies of the students;2.The enhancement of self-consciousness of College Students;Students’ professional learning ability;3.The blindness and randomness of choosing the specialty before entering the school;4.Students’ professional learning ability;5.Just want to change the environment;6.Group psychology;7.Poor adaptability;and so on.The main external reasons that affect the students’ transfer to the major are:1.The guiding role of employment;2.The original specialty is not subject to the attention of the school;3.Parents’intervention;4.The original specialty setting is not reasonable,and the teachers,equipment,courses and so on are backward;5.Take the original profession as a springboard to a major;6.The negative effects of the students;and so on.For students in the investigation process to majors changing reasons we found there are some major problems in the process of college students and schools,and from the three aspects of these problems are analyzed and thinking,put forward the corresponding measures,hoping to provide some help for the development of N University to majors changing policy.The results of the investigation are as follows:Schools do not have enough publicity on the majors changing policy,the professional guidance in the majors changing is insufficient;There are "internal barriers" between the departments,the task of remaking the class after the majors changing is heavy;There is blindness in the majors changing,parents interfered too much,After majors changing classes are difficult to integrate,etc.On the basis of this,it is suggested that the school strengthen the propaganda of the majors changing policy,strengthen professional guidance to the majors changing,establish a perfect feedback mechanism for the majors changing;narrow the professional gap between the cold and the heat,increase the attention to the transfer of students,do well in the ideological work of students,reduce the blindness of majors changing,etc.
