Father's participation in upbringing plays an irreplaceable role in the development of young children.Since the 1940 s,western researchers had begun to do research on the status of fathers' participation.Although there are a lot of educational theories about "father participation" in our country,the phenomenon of "father losing the position" has also appeared in our country since the new China.The paper attempts to summarize the concept of paternity participation,the function of paternity participation and how to carry out paternity participation scientifically and effectively,based on the previous research experience and the author's practice accumulation.Questionnaire and interview methods were used to investigate the status of father participation in early childhood family education.The statistical analysis of the results of the survey and the cause analysis of the problems in reality were carried out to suggest the improvement of father participation.There are 4 Chapters in this paper:Chapter 1 defines the core concept of the paper,including father participation and family education,and expounds the value analysis of father participation in early childhood family education,including promoting the intellectual development of young children,promoting the development of young children's creativity,helping young children to identify gender roles,promoting the development of children's healthy personality,promoting the development of children's moral behavior,improving children's communication ability and satisfying young children's emotional needs.Chapter 2 investigates the present situation of father's participation in infant family education from five aspects: the concept,frequency,method,content and hindrance of father's participation with the method of questionnaire and interview from the angle of infant father and child.At the same time,a group interview was conducted to investigate the children's understanding and views on father from three aspects: the father's personal characteristics,the father's educational way and the rearing content according to the method of stratified sampling.And then they were asked to describe the image of ideal father in their mind,so as to providesuggestions for the further improvement of the father's participation from the perspective of young children.Chapter 3 expounds the problems existing in the father's participation in early childhood family education,including the backward concept of father's participation,insufficient participation of father,traditional way of fathers' participation,selective father participation.Three representative groups of parents were selected for in-depth interviews and cause analysis from the father's own factors,child factors,family factors and social factors,combined with the questionnaire statisticsChapter 4 expounds the countermeasures to promote the father's participation in the early childhood family education: Firstly,changing attitudes and paying more attention to the participation of father,including clarifying the rights and obligations of father to raise children,increasing awareness of the importance of fathers' participation,encouraging and supporting the involvement of father;Secondly,grasping time and improving the efficiency of participation,including reasonable arrangement of working time,making full use of effective time periods,giving children valuable company,responding to the needs of young children;Thirdly,learning more and optimizing the way of participation,including paying attention to the life of young children and their inner world,objective expression of emotional concern to young children,paying attention to their words and deeds and setting an example.Fourthly,enriching the content of participation and attaching importance to the growth of paternity.The government need to improve parental education programs to ensure the participation of fathers;Fathers take the initiative to learn and improve their ability to participate;Kindergartens need to do active cooperation of family members and the promotion of fathers' participation to support fathers' participation;The community takes advantage of resources and cooperates to support fathers;The media plays a leading role in public opinion and supporting the father's participation.
