The teaching of history in middle schools is a universal national basic education.Its purpose is to cultivate qualified social citizens with basic historical qualities.The so-called basic historical accomplishment is to have a basic and relatively systematic understanding of the development of human history.To form this understanding,we must master the basic historical knowledge,that is,historical common sense.That is to say,history teaching in middle school should teach students history knowledge.In a sense,history teaching in middle schools is a kind of common sense teaching.The scope of history teaching in middle school history is the content of historical curriculum standards and textbooks.However,teachers in the selection of teaching materials,the establishment of teaching ideas,teaching activities and a series of teaching behavior,it is inevitable that there is a situation outside of historical knowledge.Even textbooks do not guarantee that the written knowledge is absolutely part of the historical knowledge that students should have.Therefore,the new curriculum reform is devoted to changing the drawbacks of the "conventional,difficult,partial,and old" existing in past history courses,that is,trying to solve some problems that have deviated from historical common sense in previous history courses.For this reason,Zhao Yafu issued an appeal for"valuing the teaching of historical common sense".It is also the value of this study.This article takes the teaching of historical common sense in middle school as the research object,and under the guidance of related educational theory,it discusses the related concepts of the teaching of historical common sense in middle school.History teaching in middle school is a kind of common sense teaching.In other words,the main content of teaching of historical common sense is the teaching content stipulated in the history curriculum standards of middle schools and textbooks.The significance of teaching of historical common sense can be discussed from the perspectives of returning to basic history teaching,correctly understanding the concept of new curriculum reform,and promoting the development of historical teaching.In order to understand and analyze the current situation of the teaching of historical knowledge in secondary schools in detail,this paper selected A middle school in Yangzhou,Jiangsu Province as the survey object,and used questionnaires,classroom observations,and student communication to obtain survey information.Through the survey,it was found that,on the whole,a considerable number of teachers could not meet the students' needs for learning about historical knowledge,and many students had a keen interest in history learning.The implementation of teaching of historical common sense is interrupted by many factors,such as historical teaching assessment,the level of history teachers,the compilation of historical textbooks,and inaccurate historical knowledge and even historical knowledge in entertainment activities such as movies and TV series and historical games.Disturbances etc.There are several ways to effectively improve the current status of the implementation of the current teaching of historical common sense:First,history teaching in middle schools should avoid becoming specialized history teaching.Not only should editors of textbooks meet the cognitive level of students,but also history teachers should pay attention to teaching the students' knowledge structure.The second is that middle school history teachers should strive to improve their own teaching ability while paying attention to the cultivation of students' history disciplines.The third is that middle school history teaching should avoid the interference of certain so-called "innovation education" or "innovation for innovation" and other misunderstandings.
