This thesis, taking high school history textbook as research subject, based on pedagogy, history, psychology, sociology and multiculture, tries to do a classification analysis on multiculture appearing in the history textbook and do a text parsing, classified statistics and organization to the contents which are relevant with multiculture. On the basis of making full use of materials, this thesis also enriches multiculture history curriculum resources, takes various teaching methods to develop students multicultural sense. This thesis is divided into five parts to explore the problem of fostering multiculture sense of high school history teaching.Part one, firstly, introduces the aims and significance of the thesis. Secondly, it sorts out relevant research of cultivating students’multicultural sense of study abroad and at home. Then, it introduces research approach and methods. Lastly, it explains relevant important theories and concepts.Part two, based on exploring the deep relations between cultural diversity and history education, points out the advantages of fostering students multicultural sense of history. In the meantime, it makes multiculture education idea permeate into history education and discuss the combination of target of multiculture education and history curriculum. Concluding from the three respects, i.e. knowledge and capacity, process and method, emotion attitude value to get targets which are reached through fostering students’multicultural sense in history education.Part three distinguishes the different kinds of culture from different qualities of culture contained in multiculture. According to scholars’classification on multiculture and understand of the author of this thesis on multiculture, this thesis formulates partition standards of multiculture in history teaching materials and explain the kinds of multiculture in detail in history teaching materials.Part four is tabulation category statistics on multiculture content of high school history teaching material according to the previous classification of multiculture. Lastly, this thesis analyzes and investigates the situation of various kinds of culture in history teaching material.Part five is practice of fostering students’multicultural sense in history teaching material and proposals. This part is mainly elaborated from the following three respects:First, how to use different kinds of multiculture in history teaching material to teach. Second, demand of multicultural sense teaching on history teachers. Lastly, how to develop and make use of multiculture history curriculum resource. Through the practice of this part, teaching aims of fostering students’ multicultural sense can be realized. Finally, students can treat different ethnicities and religions right. And learn to respect, tolerate and understand various kinds of non-mainstream culture. Furthermore, students can get along with people who come from all classes and have different kinds of cultural background from them to make their contribution to world harmony together.Through research, the author of this thesis expects that the cultivation of multicultural sense can be closely combined with high school history teaching to provide helpful suggestions to history curriculum reform and teaching practice in the context of multiculture.
