After more than ten years of development,independent colleges have begun to take shape.In recent years,many independent colleges have separated from their parent institutions and to be independence.Most of them are in different city with their parent institutions.Therefore,they face many new challenges.Until now,a research on management for teachers in this kind of college is very few.Independent college operating in different city starts late,this kind of college is not too much now.Since the nation advocates the balance of higher education resources,to avoid excessive concentration of educational resources in the big cities.Move to another city has become a trend of independent college.This idea looks very nice.However,there are many problems in it,especially in management for teachers.For example,operating in different city bring great inconvenience to the teachers.New teachers'salary is lowly,career development is not clearly,belonging is low.Besides,new teachers' qualifications and title is low,teaching experience is not rich.These restrict the development of Independent Colleges.Therefore,how to use modern human resource management theory to solve the problem of management of teachers and to promote the development of teachers in independent college that operating in different city is very important to study and research.This paper is based on Tongda college of NJUPT which operating in different city as an example.From the structure of teachers,the teacher management system,the differences in the treatment,promotion and motivation,to analysis the exiting problem and find out the cause of problem.Then,according to the modern human resource management theory and the characteristics of the independent colleges that operating in different places,put forward some solutions:Firstly,broaden the source of income,guarantee the construction of teachers management funds;Secondly,restricting the leadership power,prevent the bureaucratic phenomenon;Thirdly,strengthen the construction of teacher management institutions;Fourth,narrow the gap in treatment between different human relation teachers;Fifth,Establishing incentive mechanism;Sixth,Improve the system of management of part-time teachers.The above countermeasures are aimed at promoting the development of independent college teachers,increase the stability of teaching staff,so as to improve the teaching quality in independent college that operating in different city.
