Research On Food Safety Technical Barriers To Trade System

The system of technical barriers to trade in food safety plays a role in regulating technical barriers to trade,but also plays a role in ensuring food safety.With the rapid development of international food import and export trade,all countries are facing the security risks brought by food circulation while enjoying the huge benefits brought by trade.TBT Agreement and SPS agreement under the framework of WTO are the most important legal documents in the system of technical barriers to trade of food safety,which play the main role of adjustment and regulation.However,there are many defects in the system of technical barriers to trade in food safety.This paper attempts to find out the defects by analyzing the rules,principles and systems constructed by TBT and SPS agreements,and puts forward suggestions for modification and improvement of the relevant defects.This paper is divided into four parts,The first part describes the basic concepts of food safety and technical barriers to trade,analyzes the connotation and characteristics of these concepts combined with the research results of other scholars,and gives personal views.The second part analyzes the principles and systems of TBT and SPS.The third part,combined with the above analysis,points out the defects of technical barriers to trade system of food safety.The fourth part gives personal suggestions on how to make up for the defects.
