Research On The Application Of Art Team Work In The Empowerment Of The Elderly In Institutions

As the aging of the population intensifies,more and more elderly people are living in old-age institutions in order to spend their twilight years in peace.However,at present,most institutions for the aged in China mainly provide basic life services,but relatively lack of spiritual care.As a result,the old people who are admitted to the institutions for the aged face a lot of troubles and the quality of life in their later years cannot meet the expectations.The purpose of this study is to study the role and effect of art group work in the elderly in Qingdao A pension institution.Through public recruitment and two-way selection,10 elderly people participated in the Art Light Life Group set up by caseworkers.By interviewing and evaluating the elderly in the group,workers got that almost all of them have personal,interpersonal and social dilemmas.Among them,personal dilemma includes poor self-concept,negative emotional distress,and increased sense of powerlessness;Interpersonal difficulties include the relationship between the elderly and their children,the relationship between the elderly and the elderly,and the relationship between the elderly and the caregivers,and the social difficulties include serious social isolation,little social participation,and reduced social respect.In response to these dilemmas,workers designed seven art group activities for the elderly.At the end of the activity,it was found that self-concept improvement,negative emotion improvement and powerlessness relief were achieved at the individual level through the evaluation.At the interpersonal level,the relationship between the elderly and their children became more intimate,the interaction between the elderly and the elderly increased,and the relationship between the elderly and the caregivers tended to be harmonious,and the social level alleviated the social isolation,promoted social participation and won social respect.Empowerment at the individual,interpersonal and social levels has a good performance.At the same time,social workers have also reflected on the experience and lessons learned from the work of this art group and believe that in order for the work of the art group to play a greater role in promoting the empowerment of the elderly in institutions,attention needs to be paid to group structure and group skills.For example,the selection combination of the elderly should be appropriate,the suitable environment for artistic activities should be chosen,To improve the quality of the art group’s work.And better service for the elderly to promote the elderly ability.Enriching the activity types of the art group and the localization of the language are conducive to the establishment of professional relations.The program design must be based on the needs of the elderly and the rational use of reminiscence technology.Promote the progress of the group through the “old and young happy” group,advocate the community to hold more artistic achievements of the elderly displayactivities,do a good job in the follow-up work of the art group,so as to improve the quality of the art group’s work.And better service for the elderly to promote the elderly ability.
