Research On Telephone Diplomacy Of Sino-US Heads Of State

In 2019,at the fortieth anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and the United States,after 40 years of development,Sino-US relations have become the most important bilateral relationship for China and the United States and even the entire world.China and the United States,as the largest developing countries and the largest developed countries,and the world’s top two economies,the healthy and stable development of relations between the two countries is directly related to the stability and prosperity of the entire world.History has proved that good interaction between Chinese and American leaders plays an irreplaceable role in controlling differences,cooperating with each other,stabilizing regional and international situations,and further promoting the healthy and stable development of Sino-US relations.Compared with the exchange of visits,meetings,letters between the leaders,the telephone diplomacy of the Chinese and American leaders has become the most frequent form of interaction between Chinese and American leaders because of its fast and convenient features.Since the establishment of a direct hotline between China and the United States in 1998,the number of official public calls between China and the United States has reached 68 times,covering a wide range of areas and rich topics,reflecting the development process of Sino-US relations,the common concerns of senior officials of both sides and the changes in the orientation of Sino-US relations.Looking at the development of Sino-US relations from the perspective of Sino-US summit telephone diplomacy,through sorting out,comparing and studying the contents of the telephone diplomacy and combining with the relevant historical background,it can provide a new perspective for understanding Sino-US relations,It can also provide inspiration for the future development of Sino-US relations based on coordination,cooperation and stability.
