Wang Puppet's "China Daily" Propaganda Research

China Daily was founded on April 11,1932 and terminated on August 21,1945.It had been published in Shanghai for 13 years.Since it was founded,China Daily had been Wang Jingwei's official newspaper,focusing on promoting Wang Jingwei's words and deeds.After Wang Jingwei surrendered to Japan,China Daily became the largest newspaper under the rule of Wang Jingwei.The contents of China Daily during the period of Wang puppet regime can be divided into two major stages.The first stage was from July 1939 to the outbreak of the Pacific War.At this stage,China Daily mainly publicized the political program of “peace and anti-communist and build up a country”.After the Pacific War,the propaganda focus of China Daily had changed obviously,mainly focusing on the “Great East Asia War”.In addition,because Japan carried out the “new policy to China” to strengthen Wang puppet regime,China Daily vigorously advocated “independence” and “the goodwill between China and Japan”.According to the above propaganda contents,we can summarize some characteristics of Wang's propaganda,such as the nature of puppet,enslavement,deceitfulness,violence,confusing.As for Wang's deception,the Kuomintang and the Communist Party of China revealed it.So Wang's propaganda contents were not convinced.It's just a way of self-anesthesia.
