Pastel,an ancient and small group of western painting.It is characterized by its strong inclusiveness and controllability without the need for media.Although Oil Painting and Oil Painting are both foreign paintings,the development process of Pastel in China is extremely slow,and the aesthetic feeling and value of Pastel have been neglected.Pastel is unfamiliar to most domestic art workers,and few artists who specialize in the creation of Pastel have great influence,which directly leads to the lack of theoretical research on Pastel.Each art form has its own artistic characteristics and applicable scope,which can be understood by digging deeply.Whether for the purpose of artistic inheritance and development,or for the attitude of questioning and rebelling,it is necessary for us to conduct an in-depth study on the material language and production process of Pastel,and promote the future development of individuals and even the Pastel industry by comprehensively analyzing and summarizing it.Firstly,this paper studies the language characteristics of toner material and the production process of Pastel,so as to deepen people’s understanding of the art of Pastel and promote the healthy development of the art theory of Pastel.Based on the analysis of typical works at home and abroad,this paper deeply explores the linguistic features of Pastel materials,and better integrates the eastern and western techniques and techniques of expression into the creation of Pastel,so as to find its own unique artistic language symbols.Through the analysis,summary and reflection of the creative process,we can realize our own shortcomings and correct them.Therefore,practice is the only criterion to test the truth,and theoretical research combined with creative practice experience is the only way to promote the healthy development of Pastel art.
