Thoughts On The Creation Of Oil Paintings For Shanghai Alley Buildings

Longtang is a unique form of dwelling houses in Shanghai.It represents the features of modern Shanghai urban architecture and is the most direct product in the history of modern Shanghai.The change and development of the city has provided artists with endless creative resources and played a certain role in promoting the diversified development of oil painting.Under different historical and cultural backgrounds,artists' expressions of urban landscapes are also different.This article takes the alley building in Shanghai as the theme,studies the urban landscape of the author's oil painting creation and thinks about oil painting creation,and finds a suitable painting language to express my understanding of the alley building.This article is divided into four parts.The first part is the introduction of the full text,which explains the origin of the creation of "Longtang Story" and the related research status of urban landscape painting at home and abroad.The second part briefly describes the historical tracing of urban landscape paintings,studies and analyzes the different expressions of domestic and foreign artists' urban landscapes with different Chinese and Western styles and their respective emotions.The third part is the conception and creation process of "Longtang Story" series,which includes the use of color,composition,and strokes in the creation of Longtang architecture.The fourth part is the thinking and gains of this creation.Through this creation,the author has a deeper understanding of Longtang architecture,at the same time,he has improved in painting techniques,and has gained gains in emotional expression with painting language.
