A Textual Research On The Collection Of Poems And Essays Of Imperial Examination Scholars In Tang Dynasty

This paper is divided into five chapters.The first two chapters mainly discuss the formation of the fashion of the Imperial Examination scholars in the Tang Dynasty and the reasons,quantity,characteristics and social influence of the appearance of the poetry collection.In the last three chapters,Yuan Jie’s "wen bian",Pi Rixiu’s "wen so" and Luo Yin’s "slander book" are selected as three typical cases to analyze the formation,characteristics and social influence of these three volumes.In the author’s opinion,in the early period of Tang Dynasty,the literary style of the Imperial Examination scholars was mostly single verse and single style.In the later period of the Tang Dynasty,the Imperial Examination scholars began to use a series of poems and essays and a variety of styles,which gradually increased,thus forming the basic pattern of using a single poem,a single style,and a collection of poems.Compared with the limitation of using a single poem or a single style,the poems collected by the Imperial Examination scholars in Tang Dynasty had the practical purpose of compiling.Yuan Jie compiled three collections of poems in his life,and the second collection of poems,"wen bian" showed his talent in writing and poetry,and showed his unique ability,which created conditions for him to become a scholar.Pi Rixiu’s anthology of poems "wen so",is famous for its numerous chapters and complete style.Most of them are excellent works by Pi Rixiu,showing his strong points of being pro and that he is good at proverbs and inscriptions.At the same time,the arrangement and stylistic choice of "wen so" fully considered the characteristics of the Jinshi essay and the need to attract the attention of the dignitaries,so it got highly praised in the process of Xingjuan.Luo Yin’s "slander book" is characterized by numerous styles and mainly literary style.Luo Yin use "slander book" which is composed of many works to Xingjuan,is to prove his superb talent,and to express the frustration of many failed examinations and continue to be expected.The main reason why Luo Yin failed to win the Imperial Examination should be closely related to the cultural atmosphere of the Imperial Examination system in the late Tang Dynasty.In a word,with the development of the Tang Dynasty Imperial Examination system and the prevalence of Xingjuna,the phenomenon that the imperial examiners used the poetryAbstract Shanghai Normal University Master of Philosophy collection to Xingjuan gradually increased.And it has become the key to win reputation and win the scientific field.
