In the process of cultural ties between China and Russia,more and more Russian memoirs penetrate into China.Memoirs are literary works that describe the past life experience of the protagonist and the social background of that time through memories.Through a description of the memories,reflects the character and morality of the protagonist.Memoirs are literary works with the characteristics of “literary” and “real,”as well as a literary genre with distinctive characteristics.In the translation process,the translator must not only ensure the reality of the original,but also reflect the literary character of the original.Therefore,the study of translation memoirs has certain social and literary significance.The practice report is selected from the works “My name is Gosh: the story of an orphan”by the modern Russian writer Diana Mashkova.This work tells the story of the adopted son of the writer Diana Mashkova,Gosh,who lives in an orphanage.This work was dictated by Gosha and written by the adoptive mother Diana Mashkova.Diana Mashkova is one of the famous contemporary Russian writers,most of her works come from life,she is very good at describing the psychology of characters,and the language of her works is lively and imaginative.The novel was published in Russia in 2019,there is no translation in China.In the process of translation,the translator used transcription,omission,combining sentences and other translation methods and translation skills,and sought to present to the reader the story told by the orphan as the first narrator in the original,so that the readers could more intuitively feel the life of the main character Gosha in the orphanage.Thanks to this practice of translation,the translator learned about the linguistic characteristics of memoirs and special notes of the translation,and also gained relevanttranslation experience and raised awareness of the translation work.And the translator summarized his shortcomings to improve performance.
