There are many different views in the world,because they not only depend on the language and culture that we carry,but also on the characteristics.Although the world is infinitely diverse,we are just able to perceive a small part of this diversity.Our perceptions are filtered by our culture,traditions,and values,forming a cognitive model-language stereotype.It simplifies information coming from outside and speeds up the process of perceiving the world.Nowadays language stereotype is an important theory in linguistics,representing the stereotype and the fixed paradigm in our mind.It has characteristics of subjective evaluation,which can express the mutual evaluation relationship within a social group under normal circumstances.The language stereotype can quickly and effectively convey content in typical communication situations,enabling everyone to understand and show the attitude that the speaker wants to express.Idioms can explain information about the surrounding world,not only express phenomena and,become signs,but also contain actions.Water is such a natural substance that,life on earth,and humans,animals,plants or simple creatures,depend on it.Therefore,it is crucial to study water and the substances which contain it.The starting point for analyzing idioms containing “water” is to study the meaning of “water” seme.Idiom is a language unit with profound cultural background.When it is connected with the material group of water,it is no longer a simple material component,but becomes an important research object of linguistics.Based on the theory of language stereotype,this paper analyzes the Russian idioms containing “water”.Firstly,based on the connection of Russian idioms and language stereotypes,a practical and functional method of analysis is chosen.Then,in accordance with the steps of the linguistic interpretation analysis method,the dictionary definition of “water”,the synonym of the group of words and the watercontaining substance are analyzed to obtain a linguistic stereotypical classification containing the idiom “water”.Finally,based on the analysis of the etymology of “water”,this paper summarizes the Russian national cultural characteristics which contain in the language stereotype of Russian idioms.This paper is mainly composed of three parts: Introduction,text and conclusion.The introduction part mainly elaborates the research situation,research significance,main content,key and difficult points,research ideas and research methods of this paper.The main body of the thesis consists of three chapters:The first chapter presents the theoretical basis of the language stereotype of Russian idioms.In the first section,the author expounds the theory of Russian idioms and the theory of language stereotype,moreover,sums up the concept and characteristics of the theory.The second section explains the analysis method of the language stereotype of Russian idioms.The second chapter is the dictionary definition analysis of “water” and the idioms with “water”.The first section explains the definition of “water” by using the principle of linguistic interpretive analysis to determine the scope from three aspects: dictionary definition of water,synonyms and water-bearing materials.The second section carries on the language explanation analysis to the Russian idiom language stereotype containing “water”.The third chapter contains the characteristics of Russian national cultural embodied by the “water” idiom language stereotype.The cultural semantic analysis method is used to explore the Russian national culture reflected by the language stereotypes of Russian idioms containing “water”.Summarizing the important national concept: emotion view and labor view through its various characteristics,Conclusion is the summary of the full text and the argument.
