A Comparative Study Of Chinese And Russian Contain Word "Fish" Idioms

In daily life,idioms,both in Chinese and Russian,play an important role and often be used in these two languages.Idioms reflect people's thoughts,feelings,experience and wisdom.From the cultural linguistic point of view,idiom is a language unit,which represents and expresses culture.Due to different cultural traditions,lifestyles,customs,habits,religions etc.,people express the same thing in different ways,which has led to differences both in language and culture.These differences are reflected in idioms."Fish" is an important image in the culture of China and Russia.It carries rich culture meaning.This article chooses the “Fish” idiom in Chinese and Russian as the studying object.This thesis will illustrate the emotional perception of the “Fish” image and different cultural connotation by comparing the idiom quantity,semantic structure,stylistics and other aspects.Thus,this study may provide guidance and instruction for research,translation and teaching.Meanwhile,it may deepen the mutual understanding of Russian and Chinese cultural understanding,promoting the exchange of both languages and culture.
