Research On Xi Jinping's Theory Of Cultural Power

As is known to all,culture has been regarded as the moral support of peoples' unity and an important support for the prosperity of the country and the nation.Insisting on developing the socialist culture with Chinese characteristics has become the urgent need for China to establish a socialist modern and powerful country.Since the 18 th National Congress of the Communist Party of China,based on the actual situation,The Party Central Committee with Xi Jinping as its core has put forward a series of new ideas in the aspect of strengthening China's socialist culture through brainstorming and practical exploration,and worked out a series of new measures.In the report of the 19 th National Congress of the Communist Party of China,Xi Jinping once again clearly put forward the important strategy of building a new socialist cultural power in the new era,and at the same time formed a scientific and a theory of contemporary significance-Xi Jinping's theory of cultural power,which provided an important theoretical basis and guarantee for the construction of China's socialist modern country.This paper mainly discusses the origin,content,characteristics,practice principles and approaches of Xi Jinping's theory of cultural power by literature research,historical analysis,cross-disciplinary research and other methods.Xi Jinping's theory of cultural power is mainly derived from Marxism Cultural outlook,Chinese excellent traditional cultural thoughts and the cultural thoughts of the party's leadership though the ages.The main contents include inheritance and promotion of Chinese excellent traditional culture,cultivation and practice of socialist core values,effective control of ideological work,and improvement of national cultural soft power.This paper analyzes the significance of these contents for the construction of a cultural powerful country,and how these contents promote it.The main features includefour aspects: strategic,people-oriented,epochal and inclusive.Its strategy is mainly reflected in the fact that Xi Jinping's theory cultural power is an important development strategy in the new era and a strategic support that can realize the Chinese dream;It has the characteristics of people mainly reflected in the cultural power must meet the spiritual and cultural needs of the people,and the cultural power should give full play to the main function of the people's culture;Its epochal character mainly reflected in the background of cultural power is in line with the requirements of the times,and is an important cultural mission in the new era;Its inclusive character mainly reflects in not only absorbing the culture of our country in different periods,but also cultural exchange and mutual learning with the world.Finally,this paper explores how to practice Xi Jinping's theory of cultural power from two angles: practice principles and practice approaches.The principles of practice mainly include six aspects: taking Marxism as the guidance,taking people as the center,taking fine traditional culture as the nourishment,taking innovation as the motive force,taking openness as the orientation,and taking talents as the root.The practice approaches are as follows: enhancing cultural selfconsciousness and cultural self-confidence,deepening institutional reform and enhancing cultural competitiveness,creating an innovative atmosphere and cultivating cultural innovation,focusing on improving people's livelihood and increasing cultural consumption,and expanding publicity methods and enhancing cultural transmission power.These principles and approaches of practicing Xi Jinping's theory of cultural power provide the party and the people with basic ideas and methods for building a country with socialist cultural power in the new era.
